This is an old posting, but it has not attracted much response.
I have a poor track-record as a speller, so I should be sympathetic.

It would be a honour for me to sit in Jim's chamber music class
but I would not miss the opportunity to use the wider resources
of the university library. Let's try a few French language and
contemporary sources:
Fetis!! One spelling
Next, are there any theses on Reicha (Rejcha)? Yes!

Jean Mongredien: French Music from the Enlightenment to Romanticism,

(Mr B is not mentioned but everyone else is.)
Next, we need to know a lot more about Jules Jacques B than
how to spell his name. [Pamela Weston gives 4 spellings in MCVP,
but does not highlight the one used by Fetis and Laing]
