There are lots of places on the web and in music history text
books with reference to Nadia Boulanger's influence in
Bernstein's progression as a composer.

They are both dead. I didn't ask either of them personally. I
was just going on references I had on Bernstein's
background...guess, even with heresay-word of mouth for
Boulanger, without both of them alive to duke it out, we'll
never know for sure.
