Mark,
By its very nature, a low volume list would be elitists according to the
whims and leanings of whomever would be the moderator. No other scenario is
possible. This list as you moderate it (no limits) creates a place of
diversity of many natures. I would hate to see this list go away, but go
away it will if the new list is a place of refuge for the members of this
list who lend the list its creditability but are disturbed by the twisting
nature of the threads.
Without the Tony Pays, Walter Grabners, Anne Lenoirs and many other people
who are known to clarinetist across the land and yes even the Dan Leesons,
this list would not be as informative as it is. You may not agree with what
is said, but the fact that it is said shows that there is more than one side
to any question. You have to sift through a lot of spam, but the meat is
there. Topics some times take 90 to 180 degree turns and many times the new
topic is more relevant than the topic we started with.
