I quoted you, Bill, at a show the other night. Everyone had a mic and it
was just a tiny little venue. They had two saxes (at times) and I told my
friends about your .sig file. I told them between songs, you see, because
it was way too loud to speak during the songs. I was very displeased with
the whole event. But I was there for the $2 drafts anyway. :)

Have a Nice Day!!
Wendy :)

My only experience with marching band was in college (at Notre Dame), now
30 years ago! We did an entirely new show for each football game, and used
lyres and flip folders for the music during earlier rehearsals, but had to
have the music memorized for last day or so and the performance. It was a
little rough when you had two home games on successive weekends, but that's
the way it was sometimes. They currently march the games carrying music,
but admittedly, they are playing much more complicated music that we
did. When you do only ONE show for the whole season, you can memorize all
the music during band camp and then not have to worry about it any more.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
