My high school marching band practiced on our own football
field, and didn't even begin until the first week of school.
And we had to wear absolutely ANCIENT uniforms.
I'm feeling terribly left out. :-(

At our local high school (NOT the one I went to), if the
kids do not attend the month-long "camp" (it's held at
the school) they cannot even BE in band. Period.
I've always thought that was a bummer, because where
does that leave all the perfectly good musicians that just
don't want to do the whole marching band thing?
