Hello Peter

One of the biggest tools for jazz development
is listening and lifting.

Understanding the theory, and mechanics
which I am sure you do, is one thing, the feel is
quite another.
It is much less whatcha do, but the way that ya do it.

I think the best way is to lift a few riffs.

With time the rep. of riffs grows, and the. mind
digs into the library and does wonderful things with
it. The language can take on a life of its own, and
our own voice begins to come through.

This does take time......

Cheers
Dave Renaud
