Perhaps it the semantic point that I make is a pointless point and I'm wasting bandwidth. The reason I made the post was to argue that shallow evaluation of statements on the basis of their sources is not ultimately worthwhile. It is the statement itself and whether it is *true* that is more important. The goal I think was the same as yours, to promote consideration of ideas for their own merit.
