Is there a technique you use for memorizing music, or do you just do it? I,
for some reason, just can't. I can memorize bits and pieces, but I never can
get the whole thing which is essential to marching band, which I can not
weasel my way out of this year! Band camp is paid for and I have to go!
AKKKKKKKKK!!!
I seriously thought I'd be able to graduate high school without going to
band camp (with the band, not the guard)!

Anyway, I find myself having to march in the band this year and I never got
the hang of it last year. Maybe because I can't march and maybe because I
didn't have the time to learn (I was placed in the show less than a week
before the first competition). I'm sure I will be forced to memorize the
music, so to my question...

What is the best way to go about memorizing the music?
