OK, OK, so I'm "Greek history challenged." I'm lucky if I can remember =
what
I did last week, much less reach THAT far into my memory banks. I'll =
have
you know I pride myself on the fact that I got all the way through =
college
without EVER having read one page of Shakespeare. UGH!

I do so appreciate your willingness to answer questions and contribute =
to
the list in a truly educational and professional manner. My guess is =
most
members of any forum like this join for the purpose of learning and I
suppose there are many like me who welcome the opportunity to stretch =
our
minds a bit and think about something other than being Mom and
piano/clarinet teacher to a bunch of little ones who are ever so proud =
to
learn to play "Merrily we Roll Along." They are truly ever SO CUTE and =
I
love introducing them to music but I also love the opportunity to learn.

The recent post from Harrold attempting to degrade anyone who didn't =
know
who Peanuts Hucko was is a truly good example of a fantastic way to
discourage anyone from learning more about a subject. The translation =
of
his post goes something like this, "Suggest that anyone who doesn't know =
a
thing about a given subject is a blundering idiot. Assume no one wants =
to
know more and don't offer anymore information." "Those who do not have =
the
information referred to will be sure not to ask for fear of chastisement =
for
their inability to know everything there is to know in the world." =20

Now I'm going to check out this recording of the Malcolm Arnold =
Divertimento
at B & N. Perhaps I ought to make a trip to the library for some Greek
literature also (or check hubby's stash of books). You've inspired me =
now.
