recording of the Malcolm Arnold Divertimento for flute, oboe and

ARNOLD Divertimento, Op. 37 James Galway (flute), Gareth Hulse (oboe),
Antony Pay (clarinet) RCA 09026 68860 2

I bought this CD recently from B&N under the title of "James Galway
Plays the Music of Sir Malcolm Arnold" with the same RCA catalog number
(09026 68860 2) as Michael Bryant (oops, Michael Bryonimous) has posted
above. Tony Pay mentioned this recording once (and I'm sure that I'm
quoting correctly this time!) in the context of controlling the sound
character (tone color, timber, choose your favorite words) of each wind
instrument carefully.

By the way, to Christy Erickson: You almost certainly *have* heard the
name Antony before, as in Antony & Cleopatra, Julius Caesar, one of the
'Kiss Me Kate' songs (If she asks you what's the matter-ah, Tell her
what Antony told Cleopater-ah).
