I do listen to classical music but am no more the wiser about Anon and
Nona, and I'm curious now, too, although if I were them, I don't think I'd
catch me peeking out of the woodwork, either.

Shadow Cat thanks you, approves of your feline-friendliness and says you
seem like a reasonably nice guy, for a clarinet player. (But bear in mind
that she's probably only acting sociable because she's still hoping to
convert you to the anti-clarinet faction.) Your sneaking suspicion is
mine, too. I wouldn't put it past Shadow Cat to trash Martin Powell (or
anybody else) whether she'd ever heard his playing or not.

(For newcomers to the list: Yes, she's a real cat, and a genuine
clarinet-hater, although she needs to borrow my ["wet, sloppy, primate"]
brain and ["big, clumsy"] paws, oops, I mean fingers, in order to type her
rants in English. I suppose something probably gets lost in translation
from the Feline. When Jim visited here, she fixed her yellow eyes
menacingly on one of his mousepieces--oops, I mean mouthpieces--and
muttered something about turning it over to her for interrogation. Since
her interrogation techniques violate the Geneva Convention in any number of
ways, we were alarmed later when it seemed that she might have succeeded in
pursuit and capture under our very noses. However, before we had to
attempt a rescue by scrambling around on the floor and searching for
mutilated remains under the furniture, Jim figured out that fortunately his
mpc had had the good sense to hide from her in one of his clarinet cases.)

I should mention that I'm waxing facetious instead of mixing in re. the
specifics of the Martin Powell CD because I haven't heard it, though I'd
like to. Is there a way to buy it, instead of asking for a freebie?
