I do not understand this, as I have not posted about a moment of apparent curcular breathing. There are occassions where I do not breathe, deliberately (not edited), between phrases. Especially between the first and 2nd movements, I do not breathe. Or after the held high G in the 2nd movements. I do this to create suprise in the first instance and in the second a feeling of timelessness. As though the proceeding phrase was already playing, the accompaniment for the next phrase.

Sorry there are no conspiracy stories!
I can actually hold my breath for quite a long time. eg. I play the opening of the 2nd mov. Brahms quintet in one breath.

In fact it was Tony Pay who showed me how to breathe in three times before starting. Once as nomral, second filling up the chest and then topping up your throat before playing.

There is no circular breathing in my playing of the stravinsky, I don't circular breathe. Also there is very few editing in the Stravinsky, I think each movement was one take each. We just choose the best ones. I know the third movement is slightly faster, than normal, but it just seemed to be the most exciting of the takes. And of course I use the correct clarinets, Dan!
Wouldn't dream otherwise.
