Well James,
Thank you at last for identifying yourself. If you had done this initially
we could have all got thru` this sooner, and back onto more on-topic, with
no need for any apologies. "On behalf of everyone in here" thank you for
this, :<) and I for one, hope you may eventually tell us more about
yourself, and what kind of playing you do.
Sincerely
Tony W.

statement. You were correct in asserting that I was only insisting that the
list was not an adequate reflection of universal acclaim. NOTHING more.

> As I have already explained to some members off of the list, I have heard
the CD. But as someone else said, this has nothing to do with what I said,
because I am IN NO WAY criticizing it. I have no desire to get into a
debate over Martin's playing or the quality of his CD.
> My main beef is with people who get excited and make statements for
others. If anyone feels I was being too picky in choosing to make my
initial post, that is their prerogative. But don't tell me that I was up to
more than just poiting that out.
> I feel slightly vindicated in my previous anonymity by Ken's response
about the Opera list and the "names" that are on this list. Somehow, I knew
somebody would make more of what I said than what was actually there. I
have no desire to put myself at risk politically just because a few people
can't read and interpret what I actually said.
> Finally, I would like to apologize to Martin. However it got blown out of
proportion, it seemed for a while as if I was questioning your ability or
your CD. Believe me, that was not at all what I wanted!
> Thanks for reading,
> James
