Walter and All -

I too am bothered by the email addresses that hide the identity of the
sender and then do not sign their names. It has been my lifetime policy to
sign my name to any communication that I send out. The secondary reason for
this policy is to take responsibility for my own actions. However, my
primary reason for this policy is in recognition of my temper that,
sufficiently motivated, can lead to some very vitriolic, insulting and
possibly libelous prose. But, since I must affix my signature, I hit the
delete key and it never gets sent or stamped and mailed. I know that this
policy has kept me out of trouble numerous times. Besides, at my age, I
don't need arguments and hassles.

I'd like to see more Listers consider adopting this policy. I think that we
would all rather "talk" to a real name and identity than some cryptic email
code address.

Christy, Tony -

Let's not even encourage NoName with a response.

I have for quite awhile been VERY concerned about the "anonymity" of the
internet. I believe it encourages and abets all kinds of anti-social
behavior, from simply rude to outright criminal.

A person who will not sign their comments does not have the courage to
support them.
