I use Pinnacle Studio Ver. 8 for my video editing. Try to avoid the Ulead
editing programs.... very quirky. My JVC HR-DVS2 deck had both S-VHS and DV
capabilities. I can dub from VHS to DV and back. The deck has a Firewire
(IEEE 1394) port which allows me to control the deck (DV portion only) from
my computer. I have a Firewire Sony external DVD burner that all DVD
formats (R/RW +/-), plus VCD and SVCD.

My video camera is a Sony, also with a Firewire port. I generally shoot
with the camera and edit with the JVC deck (sames wear and tear on the Sony
heads and motor).

Music is not my only passion!
