Am I right in thinking that Finale is the grown up product of choice
over there whilst Sibelius is over here?

And Oliver I agree with you - what a stupid system! It must be a better
option for everyone to share files!

Most unfortunately yes. I don't know of any software out there which
will
convert one proprietary file to another. A disgusting development if
there
ever was one. The best I can do is to keep using an old version of
Finale
so that a maximum number of Finale users can get to my files and to
offer
the MIDI files as well for import, but as you point out, without
articulation and dynamics markings and with rather flaky tuplets, the
resulting files leave a lot to be desired.
