May I say that those in the international press that have been so gracious to me are pretty qualified to do so, and not writing out of some form of obligation. Anyone know a critic not ready to criticize?

The reason I mention that I have recieved so many good reviews, is that when people make comments suggesting that there may be a number of people posting who do not like the CD, then that is taken at face value. Whether the answer is zero or hundreds. Not quantifiable.
I would suggest that those qualified to judge, at an international level, say otherwise, and their numbers are quantifiable.

When I was a child my mother said "if you don't have anything nice to say......
Now that I am an adult, I am quite happy to receive constructive criticism. But veiled, cogent, clever,...?

Not everyone will like my playing. You can't please all the people all the time.
Play with vibrato, without vibrato, restrained, passionate, bright tone, dark tone, no tone, be all things to all men?

My heroes, whilst I was studying was Tony Pay, Thea King, Karl Leister, Gervase de Peyer.
What is similar in their styles? Nothing
Their schools of playing are quite different, but great musicians. Hopefully one can reflect some of their playing in ones own by digesting their music and style.

Those of you who are interested in hearing me at the clarinetfest may like to know that I did play in one of the predecessors of the clarinetFest, the International Clarinet Congress in London 1984. I was a prize winner in the competition. It has been muted to be that I will be playing in the next clarinetFest in London. I was nominated to play in the last three clarinetFests but each time it came to nothing. I am not well known enough.
