Seems as though she could get more use out of the Pyne if she'd learn to
adjust reeds for it. "Finding" a reed for an asymmetrical facing when reeds
are not specifically designed for them seems like it leaves too much to
chance (and from the sound of your post she's not having very consistent
luck). The reed's only made of wood, not exactly hard to work with, and the
worst that can happen is that a reed that wouldn't play when she starts
fiddling with it still won't play after a few adjustment attempts.

Does she try every reed on both mouthpieces to see which combination works
better?
