Christy, do I hear you suggesting that all elementary band directors are so
inept that they all parallel beat? Please don't label us all - I don't
parallel beat except for rare spots needing a certain heavy emphasis and
neither do any of my colleagues. Just because we direct elementary bands
doesn't mean we're untrained or that our bands can't play (I know you weren't
suggesting that). Come to Vancouver and listen to some of my bands - (I have
12 of them) - you'll be quite amazed!
