Jason, Ambidextrous individuals have the ability to do any task equally as
well with either hand. The term mixed refers to those who do some tasks
only with the right hand and some only with the left hand. For example, I
only write, eat, hold playing cards, snap my fingers only with the left
hand. I throw a ball, bowl, bat, do dishes, put a ligature on, dribble a
ball, hold the phone(usually), and a few other things only with my right
hand. I could never throw a ball well with my left hand, yet I could never
write with my right hand. Anecdotally, I have found an unusual number of
these mixed individuals amongst musicians.
