None of us can speak for that particular clarinet, but the Leblanc Concerto
if a very fine professional grade horn. Five years ago when I replaced my
"old " horns (Bb & A), I had every intention of purchasing Buffets, but the
Leblanc Concertos gave me more of what I wanted in tone, intonation,
evenness of scale and all that makes for easy playing instruments.

In what country do you reside?

If the "1499" is US Dollars, this is a great price. In that case, I would
suspect that the horn is used. If this is in Pounds Sterling, ($1.66 X 1499
=$2,488 dollar equivalent), it compares well with what I paid five years ago
at Woodwind & Brasswind. (Bb -- $2,200 & A -- 2,300, both silver plated.)

As is always wise, have the horn checked by an expert and have your teacher
or a professional clarinetist give the horn a thorough tryout. And, if
possible, try several other clarinets for comparison.

Regards,

Gene Nibbelin

Can somebody tell me if the Leblanc Concerto is a good clarinet and is it
consistent? Give me some comments on it. Also, this store has it for 1499
(new) is that a good price?

Thanks
