David, I wish I had read your post before performing Rhapsody in Blue =
with
our local orchestra. Vibrato is so perfect for that one. I never use
vibrato when playing with the orchestra but I just might start. I was =
never
taught vibrato but there is always something new to learn. I'll agree =
that
vibrato would work best with jazz. The flute players in our orchestra =
don't
use much vibrato either, except in solo passages. We work so hard on
intonation and I may be wrong, but I should think the use of vibrato may
wreak havoc amongst us, especially in the orchestra. Now, for my next
question, what mouthpieces are used by those of you who do use vibrato? =

have a Larry Combs mouthpiece that I think would work very well but the =
B45
just wouldn't work (I don't think so anyway).
