Hello, Ms. Lenoir.

No, you have never upset me. . . . Except that
you STILL haven't E-Mailed me a Colorado
Lobotomy!!! We've run out of Unused ones
here in Tucson! How do ever expect me to have
a Personality without one?!?!?!

But, once again, I am days behind, in answering
E-Mails, because I've been busy writing the 4th
Movement Triple Fugue of the "Sonata No. 1 for
(Bb) Clarinet and Piano". It has 4 Sections. The
first 3 Sections are Fugues based on the Clarinet's
Opening Melody of each of the First 3 Movements.
The 4th Section is when I combine these 3 Themes
simultaneously, and make the actual Triple Fugue.
Right now I'm in the Schmaltzy (Late Romantic
Era styled) 2nd Section, based on the Theme from
the Slow, Second Movement. It's going well, and
I'm very pleased with it, but there is still a lot of
work to do!

That may be because I keep talking about TWO
Different Clarinet works of mine:

1) "Sonata for Unaccompanied Clarinet"
(May 2002, 3 mvts., 16 min.) (Please note
that this work was completed over a year ago.)

2) "Sonata No. 1 for (Bb) Clarinet and Piano"
(in progress June 2003, 3 of the 4 planned
movements are already done, at 18' 15" so far.)

I am also writing several other Clarinet works
and they are all dedicated to Professor Joze Kotar
of the Music Academy in Ljubljana Slovenia. They
include:

"Quintet for Bb Clarinet, Violin, Viola, Cello
and String Bass"

"Sextet for Clarinet Ensemble"

"Clarinet Concerto", etc.

> How much will you be selling the sonata for? It

Both of these Clarinet Sonatas, and these other
works are Promised to the Dedicatee, Joze Kotar,
for HIM to choose to Have the Premiere Rights.
I can't just steal them away from him, and let other
players premiere them Before he has the chance!!!
That would be deceitful on my part! BUT, AFTER
he has premiered each work, THEN I can release
them to everyone!

In the meantime I have other works for Clarinet
that I have already released, and, of which, you
already have copies of some of them:

"Suite for Two Bb Soprano Clarinets"
(Transcribed from a work for 2 Bassoons,
Jan. 2002, 5 mvts., 18 min.) ("Duo Suite")

"Trio for Flute, Oboe and Bb Clarinet"
(Jan. 2002, 5 mvts., 15 min.)

"Duo for Flute and Bassoon"
(April 2003, 5 mvts., 12 1/2 min.)
(Transcribed to Eb Soprano and Bb Bass Clarinets.)

There is also the "Second Woodwind Quintet"
(Sept. 1997, 5 mvts, 15 min.), but that needs some
re-editing work, and I just don't have the time for
that now.

I gotta get back to work.
