I am completely baffled by my Sony Portable MiniDisc Recorder, Model
Number MZ-NF610. I have read through the manual several times, and I
cannot find anything about microphones. The player seems to have an
"optical line-in" jack. It says nothing in the manual about using the
"optical line-in" to insert a microphone.
Is it possible that this model, MZ-NF610 will not record with a
microphone? I thought these MiniDisc recorders were capable of recording
with a microphone. All I can see is some information about recording
from the radio or downloading from a computer. I don't even have a
computer or want one. I just want to be able to make recordings of my
students and spoken explanations with demonstrations of live recorded
clarinet lessons. Do I have to go out and buy yet another mini-disc
recorder. Hurry up and answer me. I am very upset. ANNIE
