I seem to remember a wonderful Jancek concert in Europe years back done by
the Czech Philharmonic ...the ensemble was unbeatable. The clarinets most
marvelous and yes with vibrato....sensational style in the music of the
Sinfonietta under Libor Pesek. I remeber a super performance of the Daphnis
et Chloe Suite No. 2 which was spot on....the orchestra received a well
deserved standing ovation. I think vibrato is such a big part of classical
music that to dismiss it on the ground of what arguements I hear o the
