I am using Vandoren V-12, #3, but they seem a bit too soft. I am looking
for another brand---may try the Pete Fountain reed. I use a Pomarico
Diamond Mellow, with an Oleg #2 ligature. The ligature is pricey, but has
all the advantages of a fabric ligature, without taking away the high
frequencies. I am playing this on a new Selmer 10G and/or an old Selmer
10G. The old one is cracked, and could go anytime.
