FROM: Ted Casher In order to play Stranger on the Shore with correct
performance practice, one must assume a 3rd grade beginner's embouchure with
the lower lip rolled out, and shake the clarinet with the hands. I have
imitated Acker Bilk while goofing around, only to find that people have
taken it seriously, and have asked me to repeat the request using the same
performance practice.

For the record, Acker Bilk taught himself to play clarinet while doing time
in the guard house during his term with the British Army. It worked for
him!!!
