Dan,

I recall reading , although it has not been found, that a Concerto for
basset clarinet (extended to Low C) was also authored by Sussmeyer. This in
part raises the speculation that the Mozart Clarinet concerto was written
for the same instrument.

Do you have any knowledge of this?
