Dear List,

I am currently taking Dr. James Gillespie's Clarinet Chamber Music class at
UNT. We've come across a question that I hope some of you will be able to
answer. Has the name Boufil been misspelled, or are there more than one?
Pamela Weston lists Jacques Jules Boufil. Drushler's "The Clarinet: It's
Evolution, Literature, and Artists lists Composer Boufil and later in his
Classic Chamber Literature list he mentions trios written by Bouffil.
Is this just a misprint? I have also noticed in a few of his published
duets, the name is spelled Bouffil on one and Boufil on the trios.

Any help would be appreciated,
