Being a newby musician I made the best choice I could at that point. I am
currently stationed in a small town where finding a nice instrument is
impossible. I could have driven the 80 miles to San Bernardino and may have
found one there, but I asked my instructor and he gave me the thumbs up.
Also, I checked with the local music and they could not match the price I
received from the online firm. They quoted me a figure somewhere around
$900.00 for the same instrument and when I told them that I would buy it
from them if they could match the $585.00 price tag they tried and got
within about $75.00. The problem was that there was two month wait for the
instrument.

So there is my story. Hope it wasn't boring and that it brings a little
light to the subject.

Best Regards,

Fr Randel

I find it amazing that you were happy with the instrument in spite of the
fact most players treat clarinets like cars...the general tendency would be
to consider a car one would hope to try it out before paying an exorbitant
amount of money before making an investment.

Maybe North American values are simply changing and the internet is
definitely here to stay...

If you are happy with the choice you made then more power to you!

Good Luck
