I am playing the Schubert Octet presently. I have noticed that in the last
movement all of the recordings have the clarinet doing rapid triplet
arpeggios several times, which are not in the edition I have (nor in any
edition I saw). The printed music shows a simpler eighth note passage. My
teacher says this is common performance practice, but was not aware of any
editions with the rapid version of the arpeggios.

Does anyone have any comments on this?
