Walter, only one other thing I would add to this -

It would be illogical, at least to me, to try a horn of a particular
model, and eventually find one that is satisfactory to me (read,
"Finally! It's THE ONE 8-O) and then expect that just because I'm
ordering the same make and model from an online business, that the horn
I receive will play as the one I ACTUALLY played.

Why people seem to think that and however many clarinets of any given
make and model necessarily should all play the same, even with all OTHER
factors the same, is beyond me. They are still ALL DIFFERENT HORNS.
It would be like test driving several cars, finding the one that works
for me, then ordering an entirely different car of the same different
model ELSEWHERE - and expecting it to drive EXACTLY LIKE the one I test
drove.
