This is an absolutely brilliant contribution to this discussion. It
says, in effect, that if the chorus and orchestra are playing SANCTUS!
SANCTUS! SANCTUS! (Holy! Holy! Holy!), the emotions of the audience
would be one of joy in religious fervor, no matter what key or what mode
was being employed.
