I picked up a virus last Friday. I have just had my `puter returned so I am
now able to send you this info. It disabled all my e-mail and trashed all my
saved messages, out and in. It trashed all my e-mail addresses, and the
`puter would not switch off. All I could do was to switch off at the wall.
It also temporarily disabled my Norton anivirus.
>From what I can remember, the e-mail had a combination of letters and
numbers, came with the name Jane, and had an attachment.
The repair was not expensive, but do beware of anything similar.
There again, it could have been the new local shop drumming up business in
the most evil way - who`s to know.
