You could think of the letter T and try to 'say' that
when you tongue. If your tongue is low the letter T
should raise it up a bit since that is what happens to
your tongue. there are other sounds you can make but
i think for your situation T would be your best
choice. For a bit more of a mental work out you could
just play a bunch of staccattos, on the same note, in
a row and concentrate on placing your tongue between
the tip of the reed, or between the back of your top
teeth and the mouthpiece. Play some staccato etudes
and work on clarity. If you hear the sound you want
to achieve your tongue might actually do it and you
continuing to practice it might make it a habitual
thing, to where you don't need to think about it
anymore. Good luck to you.
