I am a little behind with reading all your post!
Could Scott please next advise us on the ideal barometric
pressure and humidity to play the clarinet? I think that
constructing such a controlled environment could improve
my playing, even as a placebo. There are some places
(at altitude like Denver or very hot and humid like Indiana in
Summer), where temperate European set-ups just don't work out.
Is f) beer permitted solution?
