Because it will sell well.

I think the official argument is that it is a literal reduction without
editing. I have a copy bought for the clarinet part - I accept that the
piano accompaniment is wholly wrong but is there for mere convenience or
rehearsal.

followed the link that you provided, and then fuddled through some of

Peters Urtext editions. Given the status of the Mozart K622, how can
Peters
publish a Urtext edition of the Mozart Clarinet Concerto for A clarinet
WITH
PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT?!? Explanations, anyone?
