I do question the value of the test since as all sixth graders usually =
do,
she waited until the night before it was due to work on it and then had =
to
plow through hundreds of questions-many of which I answered for her =
since
she would not have a clue. I was amazed though about how many of the
answers she DID know but thank goodness it was a take-home test. Since =
my
daughter doesn't truly take most things seriously at all, it was more of =
a
problem for me than it was for her. It was simply meant as a review for =
the
kids to think about all the things they had learned in the past few =
years
and we did have a good time reading some of the choices he gave for =
answers.
I knew the test was not newly completed since one of the multiple choice
answers for one question was President Clinton. My biggest objection =
was
the fact that she has had no written assignments for the past two years =
and
in the last week of school they suddenly had this big review to =
complete. I
also think that clarinet fingering charts are very difficult to read. =
I've
had high school age students who simply could not read those charts and =
he
had included many questions about fingerings using a picture of a =
clarinet
with keys blackened to denote fingerings. =20
