That might be a good source, but the BEST place for Sousa information is
Paul Bierley in Westerville, OH, who has researched the Sousa
collections at the Marine Band Library, the University of Illinois, the
Library of Congress and the Sousa family's own papers, among other
places.

His definitive biography of Sousa, originally published by his own
company, has recently been picked up by one of the major music
publishers -- Warner, I think, but I'm not sure.

His equally definitive biography of Henry Fillmore has been picked up by
Carl Fischer.

His books on Sousa's Works and his short book on the confusion between
Will Huff and Henry Fillmore are still with his own company, as is his
reprint (with footnotes and corrections) of Sousa's autobiography. I
offer these three books through Bayside Music Press, and they are
probably available elsewhere as well.
