Folks,

The following notice was posted on the Los Alamos Symphony
Orchestra's mailing list. I thought I would pass it along for
anybody who might be in Northern New Mexico this weekend:

The Santa Fe Community Orchestra is completing its 20th anniversary
season with a concert this Sunday, June 8, 2:30pm at the St. Francis
Auditorium. The featured soloist will be Bob Wingert, who besides
being LASO's conductor for many years was SFCO's founding musical
director. He will play two short solo pieces for clarinet: one by
C.M. von Weber, the other by contemporary Czech composer Fibich.

The orchestra will also play Mendelsshon's "Scottish" symphony and
Maxwell Davies' "Orkney Wedding and Sunrise" featuring Don Machen, a
Los Alamos resident, on bagpipes. (Don't say you weren't warned.)
