No, Live in Osaka is a bit before my time. This CD I was mentioning =
just
came out last fall for the 50th anniversary celebration.
For those interested:
Eastman Wind Ensemble at 50. Warner Bros. Publications # DH001CD (c) =
2002
ISBN 0-7579-9325-7
I bought my copy from a music store, not a CD store because WB Pubs. is =
the
sheet music division.
There is some great music on there- Mozart Clarinet Concerto with Larry
Combs (arr. By Robert Rumbelow-- a great arrangement), A couple of Verne
Reynolds concertos, Sea Drift (Iannaccone), Ceremonial (Bernard Rands),
Sonata for Tpt. And Piano (Kennan), Samurai (Nigel Clarke- even has =
Taiko
drum parts!), Some Gershwin and Weill.
I played on Sea Drift, Ceremonial, and Samurai- The ensemble for this =
was
the 1996 Japan Tour Ensemble which is probably the best quality ensemble
I've ever played in. :-) There are a couple other tour ensemble =
represented
as well as some live performances.
