I would not pay a 1000. You can go on ebay and find a vintage clarinet in
good condition and probably bid for less than a 1000. I had a friend who
just got a great horn for 750 on ebay. Check your options before you pay
that much. Also, if possible, have a professional try it and see if its
worth it.
