I just purchased a professional grade Buffet, made in 1938,
with all new pads, etc for $300. It is in great shape and plays
wonderfully in tune. Maybe I just got lucky? But I definitely agree
that you should not have to pay $1000 for a horn of that age.
There ARE some good oldies out there, but it is not necessary
to pay so much for them.
