In a concert a couple of weeks ago, an all-Sousa program, the Bay Concert
Band (Bay City, MI) played a Sousa march called "March: Untitled." It was
published in the 1990's I believe, after the long missing first page of the
score was discovered among a pile of Sousa's papers. Actually, it was
LITERALLY a pile, as the were stored in a trunk, and burglars broke in and
dumped the papers out because they wanted to steal the TRUNK!!! It won't
replace "Stars and Stripes Forever" but it has its moments, and the trio
does have some high clarinet and piccolo noodling, and there are juicy
parts for the trombones in the dogfight section. Perhaps this is the march
to which you refer?

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
