I like my B45 Lyre for jazz and Dixieland with a softer reed. I used it all
the time until I realized that I could not make that combination play in
tune across the horn. Now I use a Fobes San Francisco with number 4 Legere
Quebec cut. Oh my ears and whiskers! So sweet. And in tune everywhere,
pretty much (with a few alternate altissimo fingerings) on my new R-13. The
B45L is still in the bag, though.
