Whew, what do you want, for me to write a dissertation?

"Clarinet Mouthpiece Resistance - Tip Opening vs. Length, A Dissertation in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Wizard of Mouthpiece Arts, Hogwarts Conservatory....."

Both Clark Fobes and Tom Ridenour have "essays" on line about this. It's way to lengthy for a e-mail. Baffle height and width of windway have something to do with it as well.

B-45? I have nothing against the B-45, except I would never recommend one. I would say - little resistance, little focus - but it's hard to generalize. The QC on "stock" mouthpieces is so poor that there can be major differences in tip opening and length, not to mention whether or not it's in "spec" at all.

So, one person's experience with a particular B-45 can have little to do with another person's experience on a different B-45.
