Matthew Lloyd says:
> I wish I that I had thought of that Josh - a really good point. Unless
someone wants to explain why Sousa was a poor composer who didn't know what
he was up to? For the record I think Sousa was a brilliant composer of
marches - second to none in the field - and I love playing them. Difficult
to do really really well, but easy to play!

I`ve just read in the Sibelius List pages that sketches of a previously
unknown original march by J. P. Sousa have been discovered, and will be
available soon on CD played by an American service band. Would those of you
who may be nearer to any source of further info care to enlighten us?
I wonder how many trills the clarinet parts will have, and whether there
will be a piccolo solo. Can`t wait to hear the trombones counter either.
