but I don't dislike Rebecca at all. Honest feedback doesn't need to be
interpreted as dislike. I think part of personal growth and maturity is =
the
ability to take feedback from others without equating it with personal =
hate
or dislike. After all, musicians need to be able to withstand feedback =
and
judgment on their performances. It's going to make life rather =
difficult if
a musician can't learn to take criticism. One can take in the valuable =
and
relevant portions and toss the rest if it doesn't apply at all. Since I
have worked with so many young people in so many different capacities I =
have
no hesitation about providing this type of feedback. It isn't directly
exclusively towards Rebecca since there are many other young people on =
this
list who could benefit from a few lessons in "how to deal with difficult
band directors." LOL
