My apologies. I should probably think things through a
little better before I say them. My intended meaning,
and I should have clarified, is that the Eb
(especially if you have only one) is not going to
stand out if you're on a football field, and most of
the people that would be present at most of the band
performances are probably not going to be able to
distinguish the Eb from other instruments.

And you're right, I do not play Eb, but I do know what
they sound like, on account of i have had to sit next
to them on many occasions.
