You would know if my sound met your measure, but not what the condition =
of my reed was. While it wasn't my choice, I have managed to fool an =
audience with cracked and chipped reeds and play very well. It wasn't =
my choice to play that way, but when you are in the middle of a =
performance or you find you have left your reed box at home or it is =
misplaced, you do what you have to do to get by. I have managed to "get =
by" on a number of occasions. Like I said, it wasn't by choice, it was =
by necessity. It is better to be able to perform on as many different =
types of reeds than only on "a good one".
